Q. How do I update Malwarebytes? (FREE Edition)
A. Click on the Malwarebytes icon. When the application opens, click on the tab at the top that says "UPDATE"
NEXT click on the button that says : "Check for Updates" the program will download the latest database file and install it.
Q. How often should I Check for Updates? (FREE Edition)
A. We recommend a minimum of once a week, but more is always better. Thousands of NEW pieces of Malware arrive weekly!
Q. How do I perform scans with Malwarebytes? (FREE Edition)
A. Click on the Malwarebytes icon. When the application opens, click on the Scanner Tab at the top.
We always recommend a FULL System scan for a more deep analysis of your data.
Q. How do I update The Microsoft Security Essentials Anti-virus program?
A. This Program will update by itself. However we recommend that you manually check for any updates once a week.
click on the Microsoft Security Essentials icon. After the program opens click on the update tab at the top. Next click on the "UPDATE"
button. The status should always state: -Up to date.
Q. How do I scan my system for viruses?
A. Click on the Microsoft Security Essentials icon to open the program. Once the program is open click on the Full Button located
on the right side of the program and choose FULL - Next click the Scan now button. We always recommend a FULL Scan for a deeper
analysis of your data. We also recommend changing the settings to scan your system Daily at a time that fits your life style.
